About Saint Bartholome

Saint Bartholomew was among the Twelve Apostles personally chosen by Our Lord Jesus Christ. Traditionally identified with Nathanael, he was introduced to Jesus by Saint Philip and recognized Him as the Son of God and King of Israel. Bartholomew followed Our Lord throughout His public ministry, witnessed His teachings and miracles, and became a devoted messenger of the Gospel. After the Resurrection and Ascension of Christ, he joined the other Apostles in proclaiming the Catholic faith and bringing the message of salvation to distant lands.

According to ancient Christian tradition, Saint Bartholomew preached in regions associated with Armenia and the East, courageously converting souls to Christ. He ultimately suffered martyrdom, traditionally believed to have involved being flayed alive. Although the precise details of his missionary journeys and death remain uncertain, his steadfast witness has inspired Christians for centuries. Saint Bartholomew reminds Catholic families to embrace sincerity, courageously defend the Faith, and remain devoted to Our Lord even amid persecution.
